Yeah, the CO asked an elder to reach out to my hubby and help him improve his ministry since that was all that was keeping him from getting appt. The elder liked this other brother better--he was really gregarious and popular--so he reached out to him instead and ignored my hubby who was more shy. The popular brother got appt at the next CO visit and my husband decided he was done reaching out and kissing ass. He stopped attending meetings and joined this community. I wrote a letter to the CO, trying to help him, and never heard a thing. It was like the letter was never received.

@Lunatic Faith- I seen this happen so many times and I hate to say this its all one big popularity contest . If they like you they will appointed you.

On the needs of the circuit: for the past 2 years there have been only
6 Elders and 1 MS appointed. Every brother should be reaching out.

Dude I keep saying they need a program to turn the low performing brothers to Ministerial Servants and Elders. You be surprised how many low performing brother want a high ranking brother to mentor them, but most of these Elders and Ministerial Servants look at the low performing brothers as social pariahs .

My cousin got reinstated, guess who wrote the letter?... take that Jehovah!

last year my cousing got dfd.... he continued practicing his "sin" for 4 months... i spoke online with him during that year and since he was able to listen after our chats he opened his eyes regarding the cult, he lost faith in the bible and "thank god" he lost him.. however he needed to go back since his wife is still in and his children were shunning him a little.

he is extremely shy so he asked for helped.

i told him that if he needed to go back he could do it within a year, that those suckers all they needed was a good a$$ kissing.

for example the lowly male publisher married the c.o.t.b.o.e daughter and quickly move up the ranks.

another example is that the witness girl that only date or marries up( only dates m.s,elders,ex-bethelites,or pioneers ).. .

Wanted to get reinstated... Almost ready to give up

i'd like to hear from anyone who was disfellowshipped but fully intended to go back as soon as possible and how that worked out or didn't.

i'd like to hear how soon you went back to meetings, how many letters requesting reinstatement you wrote, how you were treated, and how long it took you to get bitter and jaded.... or in the off chance you had a positive experience, what exactly happened.. really struggling here... thanks!.

It is truly a "Dog & Pony" Show !

my bother ( who i don't really talk too because of a different issue with him ) and i got disfellowshipped on the same day ( 2/28/09 ).

ive been pretty inconstant when it comes to meeting attendance ( i haven't been in more than six months ), while ever sence my brother and his wife had a baby he's been super regular at the meeting ( nine months straight without missing one meeting !).

when he turned in his reinstatement letter ( by the way he moved to a new congregation ).

Now my father told me this story so I don't have all the fact; after listening to what happened ( dispaite my differences with my brother ) I said to my father this is just one big "Dog & Pony show . Tell me what do you think?

my dad ticked me off the other night, to the point i had to hang up.

i didn't abruptly hang up, but rather i told him i had company.

we were discussing a sister at my hall who did something years ago.

Then when the CoBE realized that I had called the CO and he was involved he lied and said he never heard his wife say anything, he did no even know she was on the phone and he told the CO that his wife suffered from depression.

It's funny how Elders lie when "the ish is about to hit the fan" or if there in the wrong !. Kind of like the Elder who held my card for six months waiting to see if I was going to make a "mistake", so he could dissfellowshipp me .

several years ago, before my wife and i left, my 5 yr old daughter got up during the watchtower to cross the aisle to sit with someone else.

she tripped on the roving microphone wire and smashed her head on the foot of a metal chair.

the bleeding was profuse and an ambulance was called.

i was a gung-ho advocate for jws.

i got on the message boards and would argue down any detractor, apostate, church pastor, disgruntled ex-jw, you name it... i was out in the ministry constantly, practically running from door to door, preaching.

i started studies left and right.

Attacked from all sides by sneering "brothers" and "sisters" with their constant looking for something to be offended about? Put on trial constantly over nothing by jealous old losers who don't know anything about science, history, logic, or the Bible? Ever heard of anyone being all but DFed for no stated reason, with no recourse, indefinitely?

I agreeed with everything you said about that statement above ! I remembered a few years ago ( like 2005 ) we went to my friend's parents 30 year marriage anniversary . Me, my brothers and couple friends walked in the restaurant with a our hats on; because it was very windy that day. People in the congregation were upset and "offended" because we wore hats inside of a building!!! (wtf! by the way this congregation is very "old school" ). Anyway we sat down and all we heard wispers and bickering ( like "get that worldy stuff out of hear" ! ) . Mind you are parents were there and didn't do anything to stick up for us. It got so bad that we just ate are meal and left ( never reciviced an apology mind you ). That experience still pisses me off!
